Est. Kenishma

A saree should outlive the occasion

Kenishma began with a single trunk of inherited Banarasi silks and one stubborn belief: that a well-made drape is not a purchase, it is a possession. We travel to the looms ourselves, choose the weaves piece by piece, and keep the story of each one attached to it.

Sourced at the loom

We buy directly from family workshops in Varanasi, Kanchipuram and Bhagalpur. No middle agents, no anonymous warehouses.

Paid per weave

Weavers are paid for the time a piece truly takes rather than by the metre, so intricate work remains worth doing.

Kept, not consumed

Every saree ships with its weave notes and care instructions, because a drape you can maintain is a drape you can pass on.

Come and see the weave

Our studio is open by appointment for drape trials, blouse consultations and bridal trousseau planning. If you cannot visit, we will send detailed video walkthroughs of any piece before you commit.
